Netarin tarjoaa

for adults
Netari is a service provided by Save the Children, operating since 2004. We offer young people safe and high-quality community, guidance, and counseling services.
The cornerstones of our work are safety, meeting young people based on their own starting points, and fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere. We only collaborate with trusted and reputable partners and operate on secure online platforms. Your child’s safety is a matter close to our heart.
safe adults online
The professionals working in our services have received training for their roles and are committed to protecting children in accordance with the principles of the Save the Children organization. We have also verified their criminal backgrounds.
We often encounter children and young people in challenging life situations in our services. We strive to work with the young person to find solutions to their situation, but in more serious cases, we contact the authorities. We make a few child protection and crime reports each year.
Parenting extends to the digital world
Children need the presence of important adults in the digital world as well. Discussing digital safety and other important matters is easier when there is an open and trusting relationship between the child and the adult. And if something unpleasant happens, resolving the issue becomes easier too.
We encourage parents to actively get to know their children’s digital lives. To assist with this, we have compiled a set of guidelines for parents, in collaboration with children and young people. You can check out the guidelines for parents, designed to support parenting, on the Pelastakaa Lapset Ry website. You can access the Huippula website through this link.
Young People’s Wishes for Adults:
Protect My Information
I trust that you will respect my information, secrets, and photos, and not share them without my permission.
Help take care of data security
Even though I know how to use technology effortlessly, it’s not easy to understand the consequences of clicking. Tell me about data protection and its importance in a way that I can understand.
Let me find my strengths
Restrictions and blocks won’t help me develop my digital skills. You only learn by doing. Ask me what I’ve learned on the internet and what I want to learn more about.
Support my digital hobbies
Don’t downplay what I do online. Be interested in my digital skills and hobbies, and if I ask, help me develop them.
Be present in my digital daily life
It’s not fun when media use is always discussed in a negative tone. Bring up media casually and without judgment. We appreciate it when we are asked for our thoughts about internet usage.
Be a role model to me
We use the same social media platforms as adults. We see how you act there. Indifference and hate speech are contagious.
Understand digital community
What matters most to me on social media are my friends. What might look like hanging around on my phone to you is, for me, maintaining social relationships, having fun in my free time, and engaging in interesting activities.
Help me find my own boundaries
It’s hard to say no online when you can’t see the other person. It’s easy to say yes to all kinds of temptations. Setting boundaries is a skill that I need adult support to develop.
Help me recognize wrongdoings
I don’t always recognize when something unpleasant happens. Help me identify what is right and what is wrong, and guide me to act correctly.
Protect my rest time
Digital services are designed to be attractive, and I can easily spend more time on them than I realize. Make sure I get enough rest and help me recognize when I need a break from digital activities.
